Our chapter exists to advance universal access to emergency services by promoting the development, availability, and implementation of a single emergency telephone number that works across all jurisdictions. We achieve this through research, planning, training, and education, ensuring that every citizen can reach public safety services quickly and reliably. This commitment protects human life, safeguards property, and strengthens the welfare of our communities.

We represent our members before communications regulatory agencies and policy-making bodies to advocate for effective emergency communication standards. We also work to collect and share timely, accurate information about emergency telephone systems, helping agencies and professionals stay informed and prepared.
