2023 Spring NENA Conference

First responders rarely put themselves first. This presentation will peel back  several layers of mental health, wellness, and interpersonal understanding.  We will also look at a PTSD timeline that includes the events leading up to  PTSD, risk factors, warning signs, diagnosis, ways to get help, and how to  help others who may be suffering. This session will help you see the importance of putting an oxygen mask on yourself before helping others. By  looking at our own mental health and wellness, we can raise awareness, take  better care of ourselves and each other, and in turn, “save lives on the first  responder side of the call.”
